Rigid Lens Implant
Rigid lenses have been implanted for many years with good outcomes. Typically used in cataract surgery, where the natural lens becomes cloudy and hardened over time. The natural lens is removed and a rigid lens implant is inserted allowing the patient to see clearly once again.
The rigid lens is still used in patients today, although many patients opt for the advanced technology of foldable lenses. The surgeon is able to insert the foldable lenses through a smaller incision than the rigid lenses, allowing for a faster recovery and improved surgical outcomes for many patients.
Patient Testimonial
I was struggling with my vision, it always seemed blurry. Dr. Blaylock diagnosed cataracts in both my eyes and suggested cataract surgery with a lens implant. I can’t believe how well I can see, I feel like a 20 year old!
I’m a grandmother of six and being able to enjoy my family with clear vision, has made my life so much more enjoyable.
Thank you Dr. Blaylock for giving me back my vision.
